
Interesting turbulent phenomena of non-Newtonian fluid past a circular cylinder are inverstigated with large-eddy simulation. The current study indicates that non-Newtonian viscosity changes the apparent Reynolds number, which affects the lift fluctuation much more significantly than the hydrodynamic drag force.
